Our Story

Rooted in Purpose. Growing with Somalia.

Green Hope University is a privately owned institution accredited and recognised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education of Somalia. Established in 2006 in direct response to the community’s urgent need for high-quality higher education, GHU has grown into one of the country’s most trusted academic institutions.

We are proud partners of Kesmonds International University and hold recognition that extends well beyond Somalia’s borders , ensuring that every qualification earned here carries genuine international weight.

From our main campus in Mogadishu, we have expanded to campuses in Beledweyne, Garowe, and Qardho , taking quality education directly to communities that need it most.

“The university’s primary objective is to foster quality and solid higher education to Somalis — and the record speaks for itself.”
