Choose Your Programme

Browse GHU’s five faculties and select the Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD programme that aligns with your career goals. Check the entry requirements to confirm you are eligible.

Gather Your Documents

Collect all required documents for your programme level — Bachelor’s applicants need 5 documents, Master’s applicants need 6. Place them all together in a single file ready to submit.

Submit to Any Campus

Bring your completed application form and document file to the admissions office at any of our four campuses — Mogadishu, Beledweyne, Garowe, or Qardho. The team will guide you through the process.

Receive Confirmation

The admissions team will review your application and contact you with your enrolment confirmation and next steps. Once confirmed, you are officially a GHU student.

Application FAQs

Is there an online application form?

Applications are submitted in person at any GHU campus admissions office. Bring your completed GHU application form and all required documents in a single file. The admissions team will assist you on arrival.

When should I apply?

GHU accepts applications year-round for three intakes: August, January, and May. Apply as early as possible to secure your place, especially for competitive programmes like Medicine & Surgery.

Can I apply to more than one programme?

Yes. If you are interested in more than one programme, speak to the admissions team on arrival and they will advise you on the best path for your qualifications and career goals.

Can I apply at a campus that is not near me?

Yes. Applications can be submitted at any of our four campuses. However, the campus you enrol at will determine where you attend classes — unless you choose distance learning.

How long does the application take?

Once all documents are in order and your registration fee is paid, the process is straightforward. The admissions team will review your application and confirm your place as soon as possible.
